From Sept 2024 each student at Avanti Grange will have a login for the online careers platform Unifrog. Unifrog is an incredibly useful resource for students seeking comprehensive information on various career paths and educational opportunities. This online platform offers a user-friendly interface that enables students to explore careers, colleges, and apprenticeships. Unifrog goes beyond traditional career guidance by providing personalised insights based on individual interests, skills, and aspirations. It also serves as a centralised hub for accessing up-to-date information on admission requirements, job profiles, and higher education options. With features like personality assessments and detailed career profiles, Unifrog empowers students to make informed decisions about their future pathways.

All schools are required to ensure that there is an opportunity for a range of education and training providers to access students in years 7 to 13 for the purposes of informing them about approved technical education, qualifications or apprenticeships. This complies with the school’s legal obligations under Section 42B of the Education Act 1997.

Apprenticeships allow you to combine work and study by mixing on-the-job training with classroom learning. You will be employed to do a real job while studying for a formal qualification, usually for one day a week either at a college or a training centre. By the end of your apprenticeship, you will hopefully have gained the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in your chosen career or progress onto the next apprenticeship level.
